Gary G. Galbraith

	Gary G. Galbraith, Ph.D., 69, resident of Pasco, Washington, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003.  
	He was born February 6, 1934  to Edith and Leonard Galbraith in Du Quoin.  He grew up in Tamaroa and became an accomplished psychologist and scholar, receiving his BA degree from Southern Illinois University and his MA and Ph.D. degrees from Ohio State University.  Throughout his lifetime he remained committed to furthering his skills as a psychologist and an educator, receiving training and education at University of Oregon Health Science Center, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Northwestern University, Sacred Heart Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center.
	Gary served as a Captain in the Medical Services Corps, USAR at Fort Hood, Texas and Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington D.C.
	A Diplomat of the American Board of Professional Psychology, Gary's academic positions include Associate Professor at Pennsylvania State University and Arizona State University, Director of the Doctoral Clinical Psychology Program at Washington State University, Interim Director of Washington Institute for Mental Illness  and Professor of Psychology at Washington State University Urban Center, Richland, Wash.
	In addition to his professional achievements, Gary will be remembered for his kindness, his strong devotion to family, his love of knowledge and his compassion in friendship.
	Gary was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his brother, wife, son, daughter and grandchildren.
	The Galbraith family expresses its gratitude to the Kadlec Medical Center nursing staff and hospital associates for their professional skill and compassion.
	In honor of Gary, donations may be made to Washington State University, Department of Psychology.
	A celebration of life will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona in July.
